TЗ109.002B, now owned by the EBG is seen at Nordhausen en route to the ADtranz factory at Kassel for possible future overhaul. The Loco was one half of a twin unit prototype built in 1967; a small connecting door is fitted on the front of one end of the Loco. The EBG have also purchased one half of TЗ109.001, but this currently remains in Russia. The very old styling can clearly be seen on this historic Loco. Photo taken on Saturday 9th October 1999.

TЗ129.001, now owned by the EBG is seen at Nordhausen en route to the ADtranz factory at Kassel for future overhaul. Originally built as 142.001 for the DR, the Loco was exhibited at the Leipzig trade fair in 1975, and after tests returned to Russia. There it remained, and numbered as TЗ129.001. A second 142.001 is the actual Loco that saw use in the DR from 1976. Consequently there are two virtually identical 142.001’s in Germany! Photo taken on Saturday 9th October 1999.
